The results this week turned out to be almost the opposite of those from last week. Instead of both shows' audiences growing, both shows' lost viewers. And more specifically, while Dynamite gained 12.1 percent more viewers last week, it lost 12.0 percent of its audience this week. At the end of the day, though, AEW was able to squeak out another victory. However, it was by a very margin. (See graph above.)

Dynamite lost the huge gain it experienced the previous week as its viewers dropped from last week's 928,000 to this week's 817,000. That's a huge decrease of 12.0 percent. At this point, it is getting hard to draw any concrete conclusions from this drop, because Dynamite's numbers seem to be fluctuating significantly from week to week. Perhaps this is due to the younger demographic that the AEW audience consists of. Younger viewers are less set in their ways and more prone to watch different programming depending on what's on that night. In regards to the 18-49 demographics rating, it dropped from 0.36 to 0.30. This is bad news for AEW since that's the lowest rating the show has garnered in 2020. But who knows? With the way Dynamite's numbers keep changing, we might see a huge ratings boost next week.

NXT also lost viewers this week, but it was by an almost insignificant margin. It's viewers went down from 770,000 last week to 757,000 this week. That's only a decline of 1.7 percent. Relative to Dynamite, NXT's fan base seem to be more loyal. Although the WWE show also sees increases and decreases in their ratings, they are often by a small and predictable margin. Suprisingly, even though NXT's audience size fell this week, its 18-19 demographic ratings went up from 0.22 to 0.24. WWE desperately wants to attract younger viewers, so this bump despite the audience size essentially remaining the same is a good sign for WWE.

This week's results grow Dynamite's winning streak to seven weeks in a row. However, we saw the AEW show's numbers take a big tumble while NXT's remained steady. And at this point, the two shows are neck and neck. In fact, the difference between the two shows' ratings haven't been this close since back in 2019. So WWE might be poised to get thier first victory in 2020 next week. Until then, the win-loss record for total number of viewers are 15-3-1 for Dynamite and 3-15-1 for NXT. For the 18-49 demographic ratings, the record is 18-1 for Dynamite and 1-18 for NXT.
